Methode Electronics, Inc. and its operating subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, "Methode") take your privacy seriously. We use the information you voluntarily provide, together with information regarding the manner in which you use this web site, and the web sites of our subsidiaries and affiliates that are linked to and integrated into this web site (collectively, the "Methode Site"), to provide you with requested information, and to improve the Methode Site and our products and services. Methode is committed to data security, and to protecting the personally-identifiable information of our Methode Site users.
This Privacy Policy explains what type of personally-identifiable information we collect, what we do with that information, and how you can update and control the use of your personally-identifiable information.
Information gathered on Methode Sites
We collect personal data such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone/fax numbers, customer account numbers, and the content of e-mail submissions sent to us, when voluntarily submitted by visitors to our site ("Personally-Identifiable Information"). You do not need to disclose any Personally-Identifiable Information to view the Methode Site. However, if you are using any of our ecommerce sites then personally-identifiable information may be necessary to complete a transaction. In this case, apart from the information above, accounting and payment source information will be required. When the payment gateway is through a third party system, the third party will have its own policies at hand.
In addition to Personally-Identifiable Information, certain non-personal information is also automatically collected from our visitors when they access the Methode Site, such as information about traffic patterns on the Methode Site, the total number of users logging into the Methode Site on a daily basis, which pages users access, the URL from which each user comes to the Methode Site, the URL to which each user exits, the type of browser used by each user, and the IP address from which a user accesses the Methode Site ("Automated Usage Data").
Finally, visitors to the Methode Site may voluntarily submit (via e-mail, online submission forms or otherwise) to Methode various other non-personal information, such as feedback as to the Methode Site, Methode products or processes or other aspects of Methode's business, business proposals and other materials ("Other Communications"). Such Other Communications (except to the extent, and only to the extent, they contain Personally-Identifiable Information) are not covered by this Privacy Policy and, unless such information is provided pursuant to the terms of a written agreement between Methode and the person submitting the information, such Other Communications are considered non confidential and non-proprietary. Methode will have no obligations with respect to any Other Communications and has the unrestricted transferrable right to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use the Unsolicited Communications and all data, images, sounds, text, and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.
What Do We Do With This Information?
Personally-Identifiable Information voluntarily submitted to us is used to contact users for the purpose for which the information was provided (e.g., to process an order, provide you with corporate or product information, or process an application for employment). In addition, we may from time to time use Personally-Identifiable Information to contact users about products and services offered by Methode. We also may combine Personally-Identifiable Information that you have given us online with information you have given us offline, in order to provide you with improved customer service and with tailored information about our products and services.
We do not trade, sell, rent or lease your Personally-Identifiable Information to others. Methode may share your data, however, with our subsidiaries and affiliates, and with web site hosting partners and other parties who assist Methode in operating the Methode Site and our computer systems. Each of such third parties have adopted their own Privacy Policies or signed confidentiality agreements with Methode obligating them to keep user data confidential. Methode also reserves the right to disclose any Personally-Identifiable Information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required by law or legal process, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Methode or others.
Automated Usage Data is used internally to improve the Methode Site and our products and services. We may also share aggregate data about the number and frequency of visitors to our website, and the manner in which customers or dealers use the Methode Site, with our webmaster, distributors or other business partners.
It is possible that as we continue to develop our Methode Site and our business, Methode and/or its assets might be acquired. In such a transaction, your Personally-Identifiable Information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. No personal data or identifiable personal data is otherwise shared to any other third party.
Use of Cookies
To make the Methode site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called “cookies” on your device. Most big websites do this too.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file which a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. The cookie enables the Methode Site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. A number of Methode Website pages use cookies to remember:

Also, some videos embedded in the Methode Site pages use a cookie to anonymously gather statistics on how you got there and what videos you visited.
Cookies are also stored by Google Analytics, the corporate service which measures the effectiveness and efficiency of Methode’s websites.
Enabling cookies is not necessary for the Methode Site to work but it will provide you with a better and quicker browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do that some features of this site may not work as intended
The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally and the pattern data is fully under Methode’s control. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

How to control cookies

Google Analytics
Cookies are also used by the Methode Site to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The Methode Site uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the Methode Site and Google Analytics uses cookies to help its analysis.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Methode Site (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate users’ use of the Methode Site and to compile statistical reports on website activity.
We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use Google Analystics to track or to collect any personal data, including personally identifiable information of users of and/or visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither Methode nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user.

Security of Information
Methode takes reasonable measures to protect the security of the information transmitted between browsers and our web server, including using firewalls and other security technologies where deemed appropriate by Methode. You acknowledge that any transmission of data may be illegally intercepted and used by third parties. Methode shall not be responsible for any interception of data transmitted to or from our web server.
Corrections and Opt-Out Procedures
